Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in Los Angeles is seeking a Guest Service Agent to manage registration and check-out, handle PBX, mail, and messages while delivering outstanding guest service.

You will review arrivals, assist with room assignments, answer calls promptly, and coordinate with Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, and Valet to ensure a seamless guest experience. High school diploma required; prior front desk experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous experience in a Front Desk or customer-facing role is preferred.
• Knowledgeable of the immediate area, services, attractions, and events.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work well under pressure with multiple arrivals/departures.
• Familiar with hotel systems and able to enter information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Register and check out hotel guests in a confident, professional, and friendly manner.
• Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably.
• Coordinate with Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet.
• Review arrivals and note special requests; block rooms as needed.
• Open, secure, and balance daily cash/credit transactions.
• Monitor room availability and selling status; follow yield management guidance.
• Attend monthly department meetings.
