Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Customer Experience Specialist to deliver outstanding service on the sales floor in New York. You’ll work with stylists, process merchandise, and support in-store events, embodying storytelling to engage diverse customers.

In this role you will welcome customers, identify their needs, connect them to services like Online Order Pickup, Alterations, Styling and Returns, and help maintain store organization while assisting with inventory and light cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

• Must deliver outstanding customer service daily.
• Ability to engage with diverse audiences and build rapport.
• Comfort with using technology tools to assist customers.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with storytelling and engage diverse audiences.
• Identify customer needs and connect to services (Online Order Pickup, Alterations, Styling, Returns, Gift Wrapping).
• Interact professionally via phone and email, provide feedback on trends, fit and style.
• Support back-of-house processes including inventory and maintaining organization.
• Assist with event execution—RSVPs, track contact information, door greeter.
• Open/close the building as required, following security procedures.
• Perform light cleaning duties: sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, dishwashing, and restroom maintenance.
