Job summary

United Dairy Farmers in Kentucky is seeking a Shift Leader for full-time, 37-40 hours per week. The role reports to the Store Manager and offers a pay range of $13.50 - $15.25 per hour, with shifts that may include 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

You will lead guest services, operate the POS and gas console, manage stock and ensure a safe, clean store. You’ll follow the Hi Five Guest Experience steps and uphold company policies while training teammates as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English well enough to communicate with customers.
• Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment, including POS terminal and gas console.
• Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment.
• Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies located in the dip cabinets.
• Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps.
• Ability to recognize numbers, count and do arithmetic to complete records.
• Ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves/displays/freezers.
• Ability to clean counters and other surfaces.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to -30°F for at least 2 minutes.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to +33°F for at least 10 minutes.
• Ability to raise at least 10 pounds to a height of 5 feet.
• Ability to place an 8” x 10” x 10” package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet.

Responsibilities

• Overall Guest Services: provide the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience.
• DipSide Guest Services: prepare shakes/malts, cups/cones of ice cream/yogurt, sundaes, sodas and hand-packed containers.
• Efficient Operation of Point of Sale System and Gas Console: properly authorizing and control gas sales, accurately register all transactions and making change.
• Stocking Merchandise: keep shelves and freezers filled and faced, ensure dip cabinet is full and presentable.
• Security: maintain awareness of guests to minimize shop-lifting and gas drive-offs, follow cash drop and tobacco/alcohol procedures.
• Maintenance: keep store and parking lot safe, clean, and equipment temperatures monitored.
• Reporting: accurate completion of time records and the Customer First Document.
• Other duties as assigned by Management
