Job summary

United Dairy Farmers is seeking a Shift Leader in Kentucky. The role supports the Store Manager, oversees shifts, and ensures the Hi Five Guest Experience across all guest interactions, including alcohol and tobacco compliance where applicable.

Responsibilities include leading guest services, preparing DipSide items, POS and gas console operation, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety. Full-time schedule with varied shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English well enough to communicate with customers.
• Ability to see store equipment and identify IDs and read price book.
• Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment.
• Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies in the dip cabinets.
• Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, cards, coupons and food stamps and make change.
• Ability to recognize numbers, count and complete records.
• Ability to move merchandise to shelves and displays.
• Ability to clean counters and other surfaces.
• Ability to tolerate temperatures as low as –30°F for at least 2 minutes.
• Ability to tolerate temperatures as low as +33°F for at least 10 minutes.
• Ability to lift at least 10 pounds from floor to 5 feet.
• Ability to place an 8×10×10 package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet.

Responsibilities

• Provide the Hi Five Guest Experience, greeting Guests warmly and ensuring satisfaction.
• Prepare DipSide items: shakes, ice cream, sundaes, sodas.
• Operate POS and gas console accurately and handle payments.
• Stock shelves and keep dip cabinet and freezers fresh and presentable.
• Maintain store security and follow cash drop procedures.
• Ensure store and parking lot are clean and safe.
• Accurately complete time records and documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
