Job summary

Gold's Gym is hiring a Front Desk Associate in North Carolina to warmly greet members and guests, manage check-ins, and provide helpful information about gym operations. You will assist with basic administrative tasks and support the Gym General Manager and Operations Supervisor as needed.

The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, accurate cash handling, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced gym environment while maintaining a neat appearance and adhering to health and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and members.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally, non-verbally and in writing is required.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles is required.
• Understanding of basic cash processing procedures is required.
• Functional computer skills are required.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to include holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to lift 25lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods of time.
• Uphold Gold’s Gym Vision, Mission, Values and code of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Enthusiastically greets each member and guest promptly using the proper greeting for time of day.
• Provides security and control to the front door and retail area of the facility.
• Registers all members and guests into the gym using proper procedures.
• Answers phone by the third ring in a professional manner and logs inquiries.
• Directs guests to the appropriate fitness consultant in a prompt, professional manner.
• Processes retail and concession sales and maintains the front desk area.
• Performs other reasonable work assignments including light cleaning and stocking.
