Job summary

Gold's Gyms Of The Carolinas is growing and seeks a Front Desk Associate to warmly greet members and guests, manage check-ins, and provide information on gym operations. The role supports retail and smoothie bar activities while delivering outstanding customer service at the front desk.

You will handle phones, register guests, assist fitness consultants, and help with daily administrative tasks under supervision, with opportunities for growth across our network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Effective communication verbally, non-verbally and in writing.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Understanding of basic cash handling procedures.
• Functional computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests promptly and direct them appropriately.
• Provide security and control at front desk and retail area.
• Check members in using proper procedures.
• Monitor check-ins and notify supervisor of delinquent accounts.
• Register guests and direct them to the appropriate fitness consultant.
• Answer phones professionally and transfer calls to the right staff.
• Follow up on inquiries to ensure appointments are booked.
• Maintain neat appearance and wear uniform with nametag.
• Assist with light cleaning and stocking as needed.
• Operate smoothie machines and maintain smoothie bar area.
• Keep inventory of supplies and ensure safety procedures are followed.
