Job summary

The Fork in the Road is seeking an experienced Manager on Duty (MOD) to lead department-level restaurant operations and model our core values. You will drive guest satisfaction, coach staff, and ensure adherence to food safety, quality, and service standards to achieve daily financial targets in a fast-paced casual environment.

You will oversee staff training, respond to guest concerns, coordinate with vendors, and ensure upkeep of the facility and equipment, while maintaining exceptional guest

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years management or supervisory experience in restaurant, hospitality, or related field.
• 2+ years casual dining or full-service restaurant management preferred.
• ServSafe or local/state certifications or ability to obtain.
• Proficient in English (verbal & written). Must be 18+.

Responsibilities

• Lead department-level restaurant operations.
• Coach employees to deliver superior guest dining experiences.
• Staff training, development and retention.
• Address guest comments and resolve issues.
• Achieve restaurant financial goals and communicate performance.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and QA processes.
• Oversee building, equipment, and vendor coordination; maintenance as needed.
