Job summary

HM Alpha Hotels & Resorts is seeking a friendly Bell Person to enhance the guest experience at JW Marriott Houston 261. You will escort guests, assist with luggage, and provide information about services and local attractions.

Responsibilities include room inspections, facilitating communications, and maintaining lobby areas. The role requires professional demeanor, strong customer service, and the ability to multitask across front-of-house tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, guest services, or related customer-facing roles is preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Escort incoming guests to their rooms and assist with luggage.
• Attend and actively participate in monthly front office meetings.
• Inspect guest rooms to ensure they are in order and adequately supplied.
• Explain room features, such as operation of radio, TV, telephone, in-room movie system.
• Provide information about hotel services, facilities, points of interest, and local attractions.
• Page guests in lobby, dining rooms, or other areas; deliver messages and run errands.
• Maintain the courtesy van, including washing, cleaning, and fueling.
• Raise, lower, and handle the American flag properly.
• Maintain the lobby and front areas in a clean and tidy manner.
• Maintain the front porte-cochere by removing trash, cleaning spills, shoveling snow, melting ice, and hosing sidewalks.
• Other duties as assigned.
