Job summary

Extended Stay America is hiring a Guest Services Representative at our Edison, NJ location. The GSR will assist guests, answer phones, check guests in and out, and collect payments in accordance with company guidelines.

The role also involves maintaining front desk paperwork and ensuring safety and security standards are followed. Successful candidates will have strong English communication, experience with a property management system, and a commitment to delivering excellent guest experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience in guest services or front desk preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle payments and maintain cash handling accuracy.
• Ability to work varied shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with check-in/check-out and reservations.
• Answer phones and respond to guest requests with follow-through.
• Process payments and maintain accurate cash, card, and city ledger balances.
• Complete front desk daily paperwork and ensure safety procedures.
• Promote ESA services and upsell where appropriate.
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby areas.
• Provide accommodations as needed and resolve guest issues.
