Job summary

URBN is seeking a dedicated Service Assistant to support the success of our customer experience in a fast-paced dining setting. This entry-level role emphasizes guest service, accuracy in delivering items, and collaboration across front-of-house teams.

You will learn menu details, allergen protocols, and safe, efficient service while maintaining a clean, organized dining room and supporting high-volume periods. Benefits and a team-focused culture await.

Qualifications

• Entry level role; prior restaurant experience not required.
• Polished, professional appearance and team mindset.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, reach and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages accurately with menu knowledge.
• Assist guests and relay questions to the team.
• Clear and reset tables within 3 minutes of guest departure.
• Assist with packaging takeout orders.
• Maintain awareness of the dining room and proactively assist.
• Keep kitchen expo areas, service stations, and dining room clean.
• Polish and restock silverware, glassware, and plateware.
• Monitor and remove trash and recycling.
• Ensure safe, clear walkways for guests and staff.
• Memorize table and seat numbers to aid service.
• Learn menu details, ingredients, and allergen protocols.
• Communicate guest concerns clearly to team leads.
• Assist FOH staff during high-volume periods.
• Help with opening and closing duties, including setting/resetting the dining room.
