Job summary

URBN Urban Outfitters, Inc. in Westport, CT seeks a Service Assistant to support guest experience in a fast-paced dining room. You will help deliver food and beverages, reset tables quickly, and assist with takeout orders while maintaining a clean, organized space.

Qualifications

• Entry level role; previous restaurant experience preferred but not required.
• Polished, professional appearance and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages accurately with menu knowledge.
• Assist guests and relay questions or concerns to the team.
• Clear and reset tables within 3 minutes of guest departure.
• Assist with packaging takeout orders.
• Maintain awareness of dining room and proactively assist as needed.
• Keep dining room and service areas clean and organized.
• Polish and restock silverware, glassware, and plateware.
• Monitor and remove trash and recycling regularly.
• Ensure safe and clear walkways for guests and staff.
• Memorize table and seat numbers to aid in service.
• Learn menu details, ingredients, and allergen protocols.
• Communicate guest concerns to team leads.
• Assist FOH staff during high-volume periods.
• Help with opening and closing duties, including setting/resetting dining room.
