Job summary

URBN Urban Outfitters, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Service Assistant to support the success of our customer experience in a garden-to-table restaurant setting.

The role emphasizes a clean, organized dining room, timely service, and collaboration across service roles. You will help deliver food and beverages, assist guests, and maintain dining area cleanliness while learning menu details, ingredients, and allergen protocols.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Polished, professional appearance with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Flexible availability may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
• Physically able to stand/walk for extended periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages accurately, with an understanding of menu details.
• Assist with guest needs and relay questions or concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Clear and reset tables within 3 minutes of guest departure.
• Assist with packaging takeout orders.
• Maintain awareness of the dining room and proactively assist where needed.
• Keep kitchen expo areas, service stations, and dining room clean and organized.
• Polish and restock silverware, glassware, and plateware throughout the shift.
• Monitor and remove trash and recycling regularly.
• Ensure safe and clear walkways for guests and staff at all times.
• Memorize table and seat numbers to aid in efficient service.
• Learn menu details, ingredients, and allergen protocols.
• Communicate guest concerns clearly to team leads.
• Assist FOH staff during high-volume periods.
• Help with opening and closing duties, including setting/resetting the dining room.
