Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Guest Service Agent to provide attentive, courteous service during check-in, stay, and checkout while maximizing occupancy. The role requires strong guest interaction skills, computer literacy, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

The position is full-time and on-site, with typical hospitality hours and a benefits package described by the employer. Training and standards are emphasized to ensure consistent guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Computer experience required.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must communicate effectively with guests and staff.
• Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests at the Front Desk in line with Highgate Hotel standards.
• Operate PBX console and ensure hotel standards are met.
• Answer guest inquiries about services, facilities and hours.
• Log and deliver packages, mail and messages to guests and meeting rooms.
• Balance and complete shift paperwork per hotel standards.
• Handle check-ins and checkouts in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Maintain knowledge of rates, packages and promotions.
