Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Las Vegas seeks a Guest Service Agent to provide attentive, courteous service at check-in, during stay, and at checkout. You will maximize room revenue, assist guests with inquiries, and ensure smooth front desk operations.

The role requires a welcoming demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The position is hourly with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• College coursework in related field helpful.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer experience required.
• Customer Services experience preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests at the Front Desk per Highgate standards.
• Maintain operation of the PBX console and ensure hotel standards.
• Answer guest inquiries about services, facilities and hours.
• Log and deliver packages, mail and messages to guests and meeting rooms.
• Review Front Office log and Trace File daily.
• Handle inquiries from guests about restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
• Follow cash handling and credit policies.
• Be aware of rates, packages and promotions in use.
• Be familiar with in-house groups and dates.
• Take room reservations with required information and rate quotes.
• Operate Front Desk computer system and related tools.
• Complete shift checklists and close out documents efficiently.
