Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Guest Service Agent to provide attentive, courteous service during check-in, stay, and checkout. This role focuses on maximizing room revenue and occupancy while maintaining Highgate's service standards.

The position requires excellent communication, ability to multitask, and a warm, friendly demeanor. Full-time hours and on-site duties at the Mesa property are involved, with opportunities to promote guest satisfaction and brand loyalty.

Qualifications

• College coursework in related field is helpful.
• Experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Computer experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Flexible and long hours may be required.
• Light physical effort involved (up to 20 lbs).
• Must be able to stand during shift.
• Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests at the Front Desk according to hotel standards.
• Operates PBX console and Front Desk systems.
• Answer guests' questions about hotel services, facilities and hours.
• Handle packages, mail and messages for guests and meeting rooms.
• Balance and complete shift paperwork.
• Provide information on restaurants, transportation, and local attractions.
• Ensure compliance with cash handling and credit policies.
• Be familiar with rates, packages, promotions, and in-house groups.
• Assist guests with check-ins and checkouts professionally.
