Job summary

UDF is seeking an Assistant Manager for a full-time schedule (37-40 hours/week) with shifts 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Pay range is $14.75–$16.75/hour. You will lead associates, manage store operations, and ensure the Hi Five Guest Experience for every Guest served.

Must be able to handle alcohol/tobacco sales where allowed and perform essential duties as required. You will supervise staff, manage admin tasks, and ensure accuracy in cash handling, POS transactions and inventory.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English well enough to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment, including POS terminal and gas console.
• Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment and to operate all store equipment.
• Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies located in the dip cabinets.
• Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps, recognize denominations and accurately make change.
• Ability to recognize numbers, count and do arithmetic to complete required records.
• Ability to move merchandise and display items appropriately.
• Ability to tolerate temperatures as low as -30°F for at least 2 minutes and as low as +33°F for at least 10 minutes.
• Ability to lift at least 10 pounds and handle an 8x10x10 inch package weighing 21 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Manage other associates, assign duties, coach the Hi Five Guest Experience, and conduct interviews.
• Handle store administration tasks, weekly delivery reports, and paperwork per Store Manager guidance.
• Deliver the Hi Five Guest Experience and maintain store readiness for Guests.
• Prepare DipSide items and manage related food service duties.
• Operate POS and gas console, handle transactions and payment processing.
• Stock shelves, freezers and display cases; ensure proper rotation and freshness.
• Maintain security and proper cash handling procedures.
• Maintain store and equipment, and complete time records and documentation.
