Job summary

UDF is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a busy store team and ensure the Hi Five Guest Experience is delivered at every guest interaction. You will supervise associates, manage daily operations, and maintain store conditions in compliance with laws and company policies, including alcohol and tobacco sales.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English well enough to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment, including POS terminal and gas console.
• Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment.
• Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies located in the dip cabinets.
• Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps, recognize denominations and make change.
• Ability to recognize numbers, count and do arithmetic for required records.
• Ability to move merchandise to shelves/displays/freezers and place for proper display.
• Ability to clean counters and other surfaces.
• Ability to tolerate low/high temperatures as specified.
• Ability to lift and place items as specified.

Responsibilities

• Managing other Associates: assigning/monitoring duties, coaching The Hi Five Guest Experience, training Shift Leaders and Guest Services Associates.
• Store Administration: ordering, reviewing weekly delivery reports, transferring products, completing paperwork.
• Overall Guest Services: delivering The Hi Five Guest Experience and ensuring guests leave satisfied.
• DipSide Guest Services: preparing shakes/malts and other dip cabinet items.
• POS and Gas Console: handling transactions and managing gasoline sales.
• Stocking Merchandise: keeping shelves and cabinets full and rotated.
• Security: maintaining awareness of guests and preventing loss, handling cash procedures.
• Maintenance: keeping store and parking lot clean and equipment temperatures monitored.
• Reporting: completing time records and Customer First Document.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
