Job summary

UDF in Kentucky is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead daily operations and deliver the Hi Five Guest Experience. This role involves supervising associates, handling store administration, and ensuring a clean, welcoming store environment during 37–40 hours per week across 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts.

The position requires strong customer service, cash handling, and ability to operate store equipment, including the POS terminal and gas console. Salary ranges quoted are $14.75–$16.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English with customers.
• Ability to operate store equipment including POS terminal and gas console.
• Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment.
• Ability to prepare DipSide items using dip cabinets.
• Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps, recognize denominations and accurately make change.
• Ability to count and complete required records.
• Ability to stock and display merchandise.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as -30 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 2 minutes.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as +33 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 10 minutes.
• Ability to lift at least 10 pounds.
• Ability to place an 8” x 10” x 10” package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet, the top of which is 3 feet above the floor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Associates: assign duties, coach The Hi Five Guest Experience, and train Shift Leaders and Guest Services Associates.
• Oversee store administration: ordering, weekly reports, product transfers, and required paperwork.
• Provide the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience; greet Guests warmly and ensure the store is ready for Guests at all times.
• Prepare DipSide items and related products for guests.
• Operate POS system and gas console, handle transactions and cash accurately.
• Stock shelves and displays, keep dip cabinet and equipment filled and presentable.
• Maintain security by monitoring guests and following cash-handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe store and monitor equipment temperatures.
• Complete time records and required reporting accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
