Job summary

The Press Club Grill in Fairfield, CT is seeking a Service Manager to lead front-of-house operations and ensure efficient, friendly guest service in line with company standards.

You will oversee daily service, train and develop staff, manage scheduling, cash handling, and compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations, while striving to exceed guest expectations and maintain a positive, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience required; previous management experience preferred; progressive business management training helpful.

Responsibilities

• Fully understand and enforce all restaurant policies and procedures.
• Ensure food and products are prepared and served to standard.
• Cover shifts and assist AGM/GM to maintain guest service and operations.
• Train staff and foster a positive, productive work environment.
• Control cash and other receipts per policies and procedures.
• Develop staff in service and guest experience.
• Prepare reports, forms and schedules in a timely manner.
• Ensure proper receiving of deliveries and adherence to receiving policies.
• Enforce health, safety and labor regulations at all times.
• Improve guest service and satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
