Job summary

The Press Club Grill is seeking a shift supervisor to manage daily restaurant operations when the General Manager is off duty. You will lead a small team, train staff, forecast ingredients, supervise food prep and service, and ensure fast, high-quality sandwiches and world-class customer service.

Responsibilities include overseeing deliveries, cash handling, and completing daily paperwork, while upholding 100% integrity in procedures and maintaining cleanliness and efficiency during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Strong math abilities (addition, subtraction, fractions, percentages).
• Experience supervising a small to mid-size staff.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Manages a staff of approximately three to 15 employees.
• Provides on-the-job training for all employees.
• Delegates ordering, receipt, storage, and issuing of supplies to minimize waste and loss.
• Supervises preparation, sales and service of food.
• Forecasts food items and per-shift consumption.
• Oversees deliveries and driver routes to maximize speed.
• Completes daily prep, opening and closing procedures.
• Maintains cash drawers and completes shift paperwork.
• Ensures world-class customer service and shop integrity.
