Job summary

The Press Club Grill is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead front-of-house operations, ensuring efficient, friendly service and profitable restaurant performance. You will oversee staff coordination, training processes, and daily performance with a focus on safety, guest satisfaction, and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities include hiring and training staff, promoting teamwork, resolving customer issues, and maintaining high health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience required; previous management experience preferred; progressive business management training helpful
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• May hire and train new staff or assist management with this process
• Promoting cooperative effort, a team spirit, and good morale among employees
• Resolving complaints from customers in a polite, friendly manner
• Performing daily inspections and periodic audits for equipment safety and proper cooking
• Ensures kitchen runs in compliance with health/safety/hygiene codes; maintains DOH score 95+
• Coordinates day-to-day workflow of subordinate staff
• Conducts performance evaluations and assists with employment actions as needed
• Communicates with Executive team via email/Slack/text/call
• Assists with duties of other staff during absences or high volume
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned
