Job summary

The Press Club Grill in Norwalk, CT seeks an Assistant General Manager to direct and oversee all activities of the restaurant in line with standardized policies, ensuring efficient, friendly service and profitable operations.

Responsibilities include hiring and training staff, maintaining team morale, handling customer complaints, and ensuring health and safety compliance. A DOH score of 95+ is targeted; Serve Safe or equivalent certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience required.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Successful completion of progressive business management training program helpful.

Responsibilities

• Hire and train staff or assist management with this process.
• Promote cooperation, team spirit, and good morale among employees.
• Resolve customer complaints in a polite, friendly manner.
• Perform daily inspections and audits to ensure kitchen safety and proper cooking.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene codes; DOH score of 95+.
