Job summary

Encore is seeking an AV Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hotel or convention center environment, ensuring flawless events and guest satisfaction. You will assist guests on site and work under the direction of a manager to maintain service quality.

This role emphasizes hands-on technical skills, customer service, and collaboration with staff and vendors. You must be able to lift 50 lbs, hold a valid driver’s license, and complete required training within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• External applicants must meet/validate and complete all training and certifications within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must meet/complete all training and certification requirements as determined by Encore’s Global Learning Training Program.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.
• Additional DOT requirements may need to be met if applicable.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and breaks down basic AV equipment.
• Exceeds the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
• Meets with guests on site to ensure needs are met and equipment works.
• Monitors events and checks in on customers throughout the day.
• Interacts with staff and outside vendors for equipment and processes.
• Increases revenue using floor up-selling techniques.
