Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking an Account Representative I to grow the book of business by converting competitors' customers and expanding assigned medium-sized accounts into large accounts. You will maintain customer contact and manage expectations to drive satisfaction and revenue.

Travel is required; you will generate new leads, develop strong relationships, prepare customized quotes, deliver compelling sales presentations, and coordinate with vendor resources to support sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree typically required with 0–2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of industrial products: power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence customers.
• Ability to take initiative and work with limited direction.

Responsibilities

• Increases revenue through new business and further development of existing accounts.
• Generates new leads by networking, cold calling, and research.
• Interacts face-to-face with customers to build relationships and satisfaction.
• Understands customer requirements for customized quoting.
• Delivers effective sales presentations and ensures technical needs are met.
• Assists with on-site troubleshooting of customer concerns and coordinates vendor resources.
