Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking an Account Representative I to grow the book of business by converting competitors and expanding medium-sized accounts into large accounts. The role emphasizes customer satisfaction through ongoing contact and aligned expectations.

Typical responsibilities include generating leads, presenting solutions, and coordinating with vendors to meet customer needs while maintaining professional relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 0–2 years experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of industrial products: power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic and related products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong sales principles.
• Ability to influence customers while maintaining relationships.
• Ability to take initiative and multitask with limited direction.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Increase revenue and profitability through new business and expansion of existing accounts.
• Generate new leads by networking, cold calling and researching directories and online sources.
• Interact face-to-face with customers to foster relationships and satisfaction.
• Understand complex customer requirements for customized quotes.
• Deliver effective sales presentations and ensure technical requirements are met.
• Assist with on-site troubleshooting of customer concerns.
• Coordinate with vendors to build relationships and support sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
