Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies in Detroit seeks a Business Development Manager to drive territory growth across MI, OH, IN, Western PA, and KY. You will shape brand strategy, build agency partnerships, and identify productive opportunities for profitable diversification.

You will travel frequently within the territory, collaborate with underwriting and loss control teams, and influence agents with BHHC's value proposition to win and retain business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of five (5) years in workers' compensation or related marketing/underwriting roles.
• Strong ability to analyze production patterns and identify growth opportunities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to learn proprietary systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory plans for MI/OH/IN/PA/KY.
• Grow agency partnerships and drive new business via appointments and renewals.
• Monitor agency profitability and develop improvement strategies.
• Lead discussions with Underwriting and Marketing to optimize service and value.
• Conduct in-person agency visits and prospect meetings to win new accounts.
