Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a senior leader to serve as the primary liaison with general contractors, driving growth in HVAC & Plumbing scopes. You will build and sustain client relationships and guide pursuit teams to win targeted opportunities.

You will partner with the Director to shape the business plan, participate in design meetings, and push strategic initiatives while ensuring top‑tier customer service and technical guidance throughout the sales cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 10+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of construction methods, equipment, systems and materials across divisions.
• Strong understanding of local and national market conditions.
• Understanding of permitting and regulatory processes.
• Excellent customer service, verbal and written skills, and presentations.
• Strong negotiation and project management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds; good vision for close and distant tasks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary lead with select General Contractors and grow client relationships.
• Develop and maintain GC relationships; penetrate existing customer base.
• Support business development and pursue specific projects.
• Provide technical expertise throughout the sales timeline and lead pursuits to close.
