Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a senior leader to manage service operations, drive growth, and mentor a field team across trades. You will oversee budgeting, P&L, and KPI development while coordinating with sales and support functions to win new contracts and deliver high-quality service projects.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive experience in service management for HVAC/building systems, and a collaborative approach to improve profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field preferred or applicable experience.
• 10+ years of service management experience for a control systems and/or HVAC organization, including people management.
• Experience managing a service business greater than $5M in revenue.
• Ability to lead, motivate and direct personnel toward common goals.
• Significant presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
• Some travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Manages the service field organization across multiple trades to develop skills.
• Leads recruiting, retention, coaching and training employees.
• Develops department budget and KPIs for performance goals.
• Oversees department P&L and manages costs for margin expectations.
• Coordinates PM visits, repair work and service projects and billing.
• Assists sales with operational support to secure new customers and agreements.
• Develops growth and strategic plans with leadership.
• Partners with cross-functional teams for location service items.
• Ensures safety programs and site compliance are implemented.
