Job summary

Valley Bank is seeking a Relationship Banker to grow branch relationships and acquire new customers by executing sales, managing leads, and cross-selling financial products. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service aligned with our mission.

You will maintain knowledge of bank products, educate clients, and open accounts while promoting online and mobile banking. Strong communication, integrity, and a customer-centric approach are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent; and minimum of one year experience in customer service, retail sales and service position with cash handling, or a similar role.
• Associates degree or Bachelors' degree with concentration in accounting, business, finance, economics or a related field.
• FIS/IBS (Integrated Banking Solutions).

Responsibilities

• Grow existing customer relationships and acquire new ones through consistent sales execution, lead management and proactive cross selling.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in alignment with the bank's mission, engaging customers with friendly, professional, and solution oriented service.
• Maintain knowledge of all bank products and services, educate customers and cross-sell to meet financial needs.
• Present a confident and professional demeanor to establish trust and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Meet with customers to conduct financial needs assessments, maximize sales opportunities, and provide full-service support including opening new accounts and discussing loan products.
• Promote online and mobile banking capabilities.
• Meet customer expectations and achieve service quality standards; participate in the sales referral process and coach staff.
• Process transactions efficiently and manage cash drawer and equipment.
• Serve as Vault Teller ensuring adequate branch cash levels.
• Participate in community events and CRA initiatives.
• Report significant matters to management and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Adhere to code of conduct and all policies.
