Valley Bank seeks a Relationship Banker to drive branch growth by deepening existing relationships and acquiring new ones through consistent sales execution and proactive cross selling. This role delivers exceptional customer service aligned with the bank's mission by engaging clients with professionalism and a strong understanding of their financial needs.

The position requires meeting customers, opening new accounts, and discussing loans, while promoting online and mobile banking.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year experience in customer service, retail sales or cash handling.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to educate customers on bank products and services.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Experience with cash handling and multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Grow existing customer relationships and acquire new ones through sales execution and cross selling.
• Deliver exceptional customer service aligned with the bank's mission.
• Maintain knowledge of all bank products and services and educate customers.
• Open new accounts (checking, savings, CDs, IRAs) and discuss loan products.
• Promote online and mobile banking, and participate in CRA initiatives.
• Balance cash drawer and operate teller equipment efficiently.
• Assist management with coaching and staff development.
