Valley Bank is seeking a Relationship Banker to grow branch relationships by deepening existing accounts and acquiring new ones through proactive cross-selling and sales discipline. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Associates or Bachelors degree in accounting, business, finance, economics or related field preferred.
• Experience with FIS/IBS banking solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Grow existing customer relationships and acquire new ones through sales execution, lead management, and cross selling.
• Deliver exceptional customer service aligned with the bank's mission in a professional and solution oriented manner.
• Maintain knowledge of bank products and services and cross-sell to meet financial needs.
• Present a confident, professional demeanor to establish trust and recommend financial solutions.
• Meet with customers for financial needs assessments; open accounts (checking, savings, CDs, IRAs) and discuss/sell loans.
• Promote online and mobile banking capabilities.
• Meet customer expectations and support service quality; participate in the sales referral process and coaching of staff.
• Process transactions accurately; balance cash drawer and operate teller equipment.
• Serve as Vault Teller managing currency and coin orders within limits.
• Participate in community events and CRA initiatives.
• Report significant matters to management with awareness of compliance and regulations.
• Adhere to bank policies and code of conduct.
