Job summary

Philz Coffee is seeking Assistant General Managers to join our growing store leadership team in California. You will oversee operations, people development, and program rollouts, while ensuring top-notch customer experience.

You’ll manage staffing, training, and compliance, coach team members, and drive adherence to safety standards, labor costs, and quality. This role offers growth across store leadership and potential central roles.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in fast-paced food & beverage.
• 1–2 years in people programs such as hiring, training, coaching.
• Experience with store-level promotions and rollout programs.
• Experience managing schedules, inventory, payroll, and compliance.
• Strong food safety and risk management experience.
• Familiarity with labor and food cost controls.
• Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite; scheduling/inventory systems a plus.
• Flexible to work varied days and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations, staffing, costs, customer experience, and team performance.
• Run safety standards, audits, and follow-up actions.
• Ensure store experiences align with Philz values and standards.
• Respond to customer feedback across channels and improve the experience.
• Coach and evaluate team members, providing growth-focused feedback.
• Lead rollout of new initiatives and ensure team readiness.
