Job summary

ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead nationwide growth from Chicago, IL. You will forge new client relationships, expand ARCO’s market presence, and shape sales strategies across the United States.

The role requires a proven sales record in construction and related industries, strong networking with decision makers, and willingness to travel as needed. A related bachelor’s degree is preferred, with MBAs or sales degrees also being considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design, Construction Management or related field preferred or MBAs/sales degrees considered.
• 10+ years of technical sales experience in construction, food & beverage, or engineering design industries preferred.
• Experience with Economic Development departments/individuals is a plus.
• Proven ability to establish profitable relationships with decision makers and influencers.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate new business opportunities.
• Create and expand ARCO’s footprint and top-of-mind awareness.
• Research key economic factors influencing market activity in niche markets or geographies.
• Attend trade shows and association meetings to stay informed on market conditions and establish relations.
• Provide progress updates on new business development activities to ARCO management.
