Job summary

Alternative Services – Connecticut, Inc. seeks a Residential Manager to supervise all program services and operations in a residential setting.

You will oversee personnel, policy adherence, program development, fiscal management and consumer services to ensure high-quality care for residents. The role requires coordinating staffing, clinical collaboration, safety, licensing readiness, incident documentation and a commitment to a respectful, habilitative environment per DDS regulations and agency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of management experience, plus two years direct care in developmental disabilities.
• Strong administrative knowledge in fiscal, personnel, and operational processes for supervision.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel using Agency or personal vehicle.
• Exemplary interpersonal skills for diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, PMT and DDS State Medication Administration certifications.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and physically assist individuals.

Responsibilities

• Works vacant shifts if unable to find coverage and shares on-call coverage bi-weekly.
• Conducts subordinate performance appraisals and manages staff per policy and laws.
• Hires with supervisor and HR; conducts interviews and prepares payroll.
• Ensures staffing levels with supervisor and Behaviorist; tracks trainings.
• Manages house and consumer finances per policy and DDS rules.
• Chairs monthly staff meetings and documents accurate minutes.
