Job summary

Alternative Services Connecticut, Inc. seeks an Assistant Residential Manager to support daily operation of residential programs, ensure adherence to consumer plans, and assist with data collection.

You will supervise shifts, conduct appraisals, coordinate activities, document incidents, and help transport residents while maintaining safety.

This role requires a HS diploma, experience with developmental disabilities, valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain required certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years experience with individuals with developmental disabilities; 1 year in management.
• Valid driver's license; willing to travel using agency or personal vehicle.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, PMT and DDS Medication Administration.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and provide safe physical intervention.

Responsibilities

• Assist Residential Manager in supervision, performance appraisals, and coverage planning.
• Review consumer files for data accuracy and program compliance.
• Plan and provide activities and programs for residents during each shift.
• Document incidents, medication administration, and safety checks on required forms.
• Transport residents to community activities and supervise on outings.
• Follow emergency procedures and develop plans to meet resident needs.
• Prepare programmatic and statistical reports; maintain a clean, safe home.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development.
