Job summary

Alternative Services – Connecticut, Inc. is seeking a Residential Manager responsible for supervising program services, personnel, policy adherence, and fiscal management within a developmental disabilities setting.

The role directs clinical coordination with the program team to ensure quality consumer services. Responsibilities include staffing oversight, budget compliance, incident reporting, and licensing readiness, with emphasis on person-centered planning and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus two years of management experience and two years direct care experience in developmental disabilities or dually diagnosed (or substitute with experience).
• Administrative knowledge and skills for supervision of residential care facilities; ability to lead by example.
• Must have valid driver's license and be insurable; occasional travel with Agency vehicle or personal vehicle.
• Exemplary interpersonal skills to work with diverse staff and external partners.
• Ability to obtain certifications in CPR, First Aid, PMT, and DDS Medication Administration.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical interventions as required.

Responsibilities

• Cover vacant shifts and share on-call coverage bi-weekly with Assistant Residential Manager.
• Lead staff performance appraisals and ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and contracts.
• Recruit, interview, and coordinate payroll with HR; maintain accurate personnel records.
