Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Porter/Groundskeeper to perform daily maintenance and care of landscaping tools, assist the maintenance team, and ensure the exterior and common areas are clean and well-kept. The role supports make-readies, waters plants, maintains sprinklers, and handles lawn care tasks with safety and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of related experience, strong English communication, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work on-call

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of full-time related experience.
• English communication skills; Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to work on call including weekends.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of work safety habits.

Responsibilities

• Ensure property appearance meets standards for all areas (office, model, apartments, amenities).
• Support the team for community functions.
• Pick up litter daily.
• Sweep/blow breezeways.
• Clean areas around dumpsters.
• Assist with make-readies and maintenance tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Water plants and maintain sprinkler system.
• Mow, trim, reseed, and replant as needed.
• Prune trees and shrubs; weed planted areas.
