Job summary

You will manage staffing, training, and performance, promote career development, and maintain store standards and safety. This role emphasizes leadership, budgeting, and customer-focused execution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in meat, bakery, produce and deli; customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and provide direction.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial data.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Staffing, selection, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote career development and succession planning.
• Maintain P&L and control shrink for the department.
• Model and train Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings.
• Ensure safety and consistent attendance; maintain store standards.
