• Retail or other customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product.

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience for our customers, including an exceptional checkout experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach other team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Assist in training new team members and cross-training high-potential talent.
• Assist department scheduling to improve customer service, store sales and profitability.
• Ensure product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Guide team in food safety compliance and safe working practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product display as applicable.
• Promote Meijer culture and inclusivity among team and vendors.
• Operate registers and handle cash when needed.
• Participate in period-end inventories to help achieve goals.
