Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership role responsible for staffing, hiring, and mentoring the team to deliver exceptional customer service and strong store performance. You will lead staffing, coaching, and daily operations to meet company standards and drive sales.

The role emphasizes in-store leadership, safety, and adherence to Meijer policies while supporting career development and advancement opportunities across our multi-state operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli).
• Ability to communicate clear and precise direction to team members.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and analyze information for decisions.
• Ability to mentor team members across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Mentor and coach team members to improve performance.
• Improve customer service and drive store sales while meeting standards.
• Maintain store appearance and product presentation.
• Promote a safe work environment and Meijer Friendly Initiative.
• Disciplinary actions and promotion decisions when needed.
• Spending majority of time in-store engaging with customers and team members.
