Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience for customers, including an exceptional checkout experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily work tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals and adhere to Meijer standards.
• Assist training of new team members and cross-train high-potential staff to boost productivity.
• Collaborate with leadership on department scheduling to improve engagement, service, and store profitability.
• Ensure freshness of products by monitoring rotation and dating policies; uphold food safety standards.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product display where applicable.
• Support an inclusive Meijer culture and diverse team environment.
• Operate a register and handle cash when needed; use powered equipment as required.
• Participate in period-end inventories and other duties as assigned.
