Meijer Inc. in Michigan is seeking a store-level leader to supervise day-to-day operations, mentor team members, and drive customer-focused results. You will staff, hire, manage scheduling and payroll, and ensure safety, cleanliness and product presentation.

Lead initiatives to improve service, reduce shrink, and boost sales while meeting our customers’ needs and expectations. This role requires strong communication, conflict resolution and the ability to coordinate across departments to deliver

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate directions clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial/statistical information to improve decisions.
• Proven ability to mentor team members and lead a safety-focused organization.

Responsabilités

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Responsible for staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development needs for the team.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicates the Meijer Friendly Initiative in all team meetings and conversations.
• Mentors and coaches the team to exceed customer service and sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensures thorough training and that staff complete required training.
• Spends time in-store communicating with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service.
• Promotes a safe work environment and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
