Responsibilities

• Engage peers to deliver the best possible shopping experience for customers.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Assist training of new teammates and cross-train high potential talent.
• Help with department scheduling to improve engagement, service, and profitability.
• Ensure product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Guide the team on food safety standards and safe work practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and display activities.
• Support Meijer culture and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
• Operate registers and handle cash when needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in inventories to help achieve goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
