Meijer Inc. is seeking a team-oriented leader to guide daily operations and elevate customer service. You will mentor peers, assign tasks, and ensure the department runs smoothly while meeting sales and service standards.

The role includes training new hires, managing schedules, and maintaining product freshness and safety compliance. A collaborative, inclusive culture is emphasized across all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Engaging peers to provide the best possible shopping experience for our customers including an exceptional checkout experience.
• Communicating with team members and assigning daily work tasks.
• Mentoring and coaching other team members to exceed sales goals and Meijer standards.
• Supports training new team members and cross-training talent to boost productivity.
• Assist with department scheduling to improve service and profitability.
• Ensure product freshness and proper rotation and dating policies.
• Guide the team in food safety standards and safe operations.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and display duties as applicable.
• Foster an inclusive Meijer culture and diversity initiatives.
• Operate register and handle cash when needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories and other duties as assigned.
