Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Grocery Manager to lead the sales and operations of several departments including Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food and Beer/Wine. You will drive profitability by managing labor, shrink, and stock integrity, while coaching a retail team to deliver excellent customer service.

The role requires at least 1 year of supervisory experience, strong communication, leadership and a focus on safety and accuracy. A flexible schedule including nights and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year managerial or supervisory experience in a multi-department operation.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with customers.
• Proven leadership ability to motivate staff and manage performance.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of personnel reports, margins, weekly sales and financial goals.
• Food Safety certification required.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sales and operation of multiple departments: Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food, Beer/Wine.
• Control costs by monitoring operations to increase profitability; manage labor and shrink.
• Assist in store inventory counts and prepare for audits.
• Oversee unloading of trucks and verify deliveries against invoices.
• Manage ordering, sanitation, back-room inventory, and department safety.
• Lead and coach team members; conduct bi-annual performance reviews.
• Attend in-store meetings; recruit, hire and promote in collaboration with Store Manager.
• Act as Manager on Duty as needed and address team concerns.
• Create schedules to optimize productivity and communicate standards and product knowledge.
• Deliver highest quality product and customer experience.
