Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and have 1 year managerial or supervisory experience in a multi-department operation within retail, hospitality, or service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to take/give direction in a team environment.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude toward customers.
• Proven leadership to build, motivate and maintain staff with knowledge of margins and weekly sales numbers.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Have and maintain Food Safety certification and ensure compliance with federal/state/company standards.
• Strong organizational and planning skills; able to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Able to lift milk trays up to 60 lbs and boxes up to 50 lbs as specified.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the sales and operation of multiple departments including Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food, and Beer/Wine.
• Ensure proper product handling, freshness, and date controls.
• Control costs by monitoring and improving operations to increase profitability, including labor and loss prevention.
• Assist in store readiness for physical inventories and oversee unloading of trucks and delivery verification.
• Manage ordering, sanitation, back-room inventory, and department safety.
• Coach and develop team members, conduct performance reviews, and participate in promotions decisions.
• Attend in-store meetings and collaborate with Store Manager on staffing decisions.
• Lead scheduling, staffing, and act as Manager on Duty when needed.
