Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is looking for a Grocery Manager to lead multiple departments and drive exceptional customer service in a fast-paced store environment. You will oversee Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food, and Beer/Wine, ensuring product freshness, proper balance of labor, and compliant operations.

You will coach staff, manage schedules, supervise deliveries, and partner with the Store Manager on hiring and promotions to deliver the finest quality and service to customers.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with 1 year managerial/supervisory experience in a multi-department retail/hospitality/service setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to take/give direction in a team.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with positive attitude toward customers.
• Proven leadership to build/motivate staff; knowledge of personnel/margin reports and weekly sales.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Food safety certification; comply with freshness, safety, weights, measures, and sanitation standards.
• Strong organization and planning; able to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and handle repetitive bending; flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sales and operations of multiple departments: Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food, and Beer/Wine.
• Ensure proper product handling, rotation, and date controls to maintain freshness.
• Control costs by monitoring labor, shrink, and pilferage; improve profitability.
• Assist in store inventory preparation and unload deliveries against invoices.
• Manage ordering, sanitation, back-room inventory, and department safety.
• Coach team members through feedback and performance reviews; participate in meetings.
• Recruit, hire, and promote in collaboration with Store Manager.
