Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Grocery Manager to lead multiple departments (Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food, Beer/Wine) and drive sales, service, and operational excellence. You will manage scheduling, staffing, and performance, and coach team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

The role emphasizes controlling costs, ensuring product freshness, and maintaining safety standards while collaborating with the Store Manager on hiring decisions and store-wide goals.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with 1 year of managerial or supervisory experience in a multi-department operation.
• Strong written and verbal communication, ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Outgoing, friendly attitude with a positive approach to customers and staff.
• Proven leadership to motivate and maintain staff while tracking performance & sales.
• Detail-oriented with analytical & problem-solving skills; food safety knowledge required.
• Maintain Food Safety certification and comply with all regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sales and operations of multiple departments: Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food, and Beer/Wine.
• Manage labor costs, shrink, and loss prevention; continuously improve profitability.
• Assist in store readiness for physical inventories.
• Oversee receiving, verify deliveries against invoices, note shortages/overages.
• Coordinate ordering, sanitation, back-room inventory, and department safety.
• Coach and develop team members; conduct performance reviews and promotions.
• Lead in-store meetings; recruit, hire, and collaborate with Store Manager on promotions.
• Make independent decisions to address team member concerns; enforce corrective actions when needed.
