Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Grocery Manager to lead multiple departments (Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, Beer/Wine) and drive sales, service, and profitability. You will coach and develop staff, manage schedules, and ensure food safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced store setting in California.

The role requires strong leadership, detailed operations knowledge, and the ability to adapt to a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with 1 year managing a department or team in a multi-department retail operation
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to take directions and lead a team
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude toward customers
• Proven leadership to build, motivate and maintain staff while tracking reports and financial goals
• Food safety certification and compliance with federal/state/company standards
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to transfer heavy items and perform physical tasks as described in job listing

Responsibilities

• Oversee sales and operations for Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food, and Beer/Wine
• Control costs, manage labor, reduce shrink and pilferage
• Assist in store inventory counts and prep
• Coordinate receiving and verify deliveries against invoices
• Manage ordering, sanitation, inventory, and safety
• Coach and develop team; participate in performance reviews
• Attend in-store meetings and recruit/hire with Store Manager
• Address team concerns and take corrective actions as needed
• Create schedules to maximize productivity and communicate standards
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality products and excellent service
• Serve as Key Carrier or Manager on Duty as needed
