Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Grocery Manager to oversee the sales and operation of multiple departments, including Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food, and Beer/Wine. You will lead a team, optimize scheduling, monitor costs, ensure food safety standards, and deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of supervisory experience in retail or service, strong communication, and a flexible schedule including nights and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and have 1 year of managerial or supervisory experience within a multi-department operation.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, and the ability to take and give direction in a team environment.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude toward customers and staff.
• Demonstrated leadership to motivate staff while understanding personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales, and financial goals.
• Knowledge of food safety principles and certification; compliance with federal, state, and company standards.
• Detail-oriented with strong planning, organization, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience with scheduling, staffing, and performance management including coaching and progressive discipline.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sales and operations of multiple departments (Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food, Beer/Wine).
• Control costs by monitoring operations, managing labor, and reducing shrink and pilferage.
• Assist in store readiness for physical inventories and coordinate deliveries with distribution centers.
• Hire, promote, and develop team members; participate in performance reviews.
• Lead and communicate standards, policies, and product knowledge to staff.
• Act as a Key Carrier or Manager on Duty as needed to ensure smooth store operation.
